iSpark International Pitching Competition (IIPC) 2024
28 students from TAR UMT Perak campus (8 teams from FAFB and 1 team from FOCS) participated in the iSpark International Pitching Competition (IIPC) 2024, organized by TAR UMT CBiEV on September 20, 2024.
Notably, the team "Boys Gang," consisting of 4 Bachelor of Business (Honours) Accounting and Finance students, made it to the top 15 finalists
They are Fong Tze Tian, Lim Na, Soon Jia Yue & Lim Kai Ying.

The programme introduced SMK Idris Shah students to accounting, financial literacy, and career opportunities in the accounting field. Through interactive activities, students developed better understanding of budgeting, financial decision-making, and the importance of smart money management.

Industrial Talk : How to Maximise Your Tax e-Filing for the Year 2025 & Career Path with LHDN
Students gained insights into LHDN’s role, tax e-filing processes, tax reliefs, and career opportunities through an informative session by Mr. Yogendran from LHDN Perak. The talk enhanced students’ understanding of taxation and practical financial knowledge.

The CPA Australia Student Pathway industrial talk introduced students to professional accounting qualifications, programme requirements, benefits, and career opportunities. The session enhanced students’ understanding of the CPA journey, global recognition, and the advantages of pursuing a professional accounting qualification.
