The 32nd Convocation Ceremony of TAR UMT Perak Branch, held on 25 April 2026, was a meaningful celebration of perseverance, growth, and achievement, as 236 graduates marked the culmination of their academic journey. The ceremony was officiated by Associate Professor Say Sok Kwan, Vice President of TAR UMT. Her opening speech did not only represent a formal commencement, but also a tribute to students' years of dedication, late nights, challenges overcome, and dreams steadily pursued.
Adding warmth and vibrancy to the occasion, the graduates themselves took to the stage, presenting two soulful vocal performances and a graceful Indian traditional dance. These performances reflected the spirit, diversity, and talents of the graduating cohort—reminding all present that their journey was shaped not only by academic excellence, but also by creativity and passion.
As the graduates walked across the stage, each step symbolised more than the receipt of a scroll—it represented resilience, personal growth, and the unwavering support of families, friends, and the university staff. In a powerful valedictory address, Teng Ean Qie touched on the emotional weight of the academic journey, noting that the "moments we almost walked away" were what ultimately prepared the graduates for the future. Encouraging her peers to embrace the unknown, she urged graduates to prioritize personal growth over convenience, advising them to "take the harder path when it matters" as they transition into the next chapter of their lives.
