2 July 2024, Kampar, Perak - SMJK Pei Yuan welcomed us to their Business workshop, where our DACB lecturer, Dr. Wong Kok Yaw, took the lead. The event, expertly facilitated by Mr. Albert Ng Kin Yew (DACB Associate Dean), Ms. Jeannie Yeoh (DACB Programme Leader), and Ms. Thean Fui Leng (DACB Lecturer), brought together 160 enthusiastic Form 5 students. We were thrilled to engage with the students and play an active role in enriching their educational experience.

9 July 2024, TAR UMT Perak - The Career and Internship Recruitment Day 2024 was a resounding success! With fourteen companies from various industries participating, the event provided students with valuable opportunities to explore potential career paths and internship options. It was a fantastic day of networking and discovery, opening doors to future career possibilities.

10 - 17 July 2024, TAR UMT Perak - Exciting times at the Asian Triathlon Junior Cup and Triathlon Asia Youth Camp! Hosted by the Perak Triathlon Association in conjunction with Visit Perak 2024, TAR UMT Perak Branch is proud to be a strategic partner, providing our swimming pool for warm-ups and practice. With 25 countries competing, it’s set to be a thrilling week of international sports excellence!

20 July 2024, Penang - REV Year 2 Semester 3 students and their lecturer had an amazing day at the Talk & Walk: Moniot Trail (Penang Hill Festival 2024) event! 🎒🌄

From trekking through stunning natural landscapes to exploring the dynamic field of sports tourism, our students gained invaluable insights into organizing and enhancing sports events. 🏞️🎉 This adventure proved that the best learning often happens outside the classroom, immersing in the wild and hands-on experiences! 🚶‍♂️📚✨ They embraced the thrill of experiential learning and discovered the significance of connecting with nature on their educational journey. 🌳🌟

Paddle power and team spirit! On July 20, 2024, 31 Perak Branch staff took to the waters at Kompleks Rakan Muda, Kampar, for a fun-filled kayak session. Thanks to KBS Kampar for partnering with us on this free event aimed at boosting health, building connections, and enhancing teamwork. Here’s to a refreshing start and stronger bonds!

25 July 2024, TAR UMT Perak - A big thanks to SMK Methodist ACS Sungai Siput U for the wonderful visit to our campus. We had a blast sharing our campus experience and environment while teaching leadership skills to this amazing group of students. We hope they found the interactive session as valuable as we did and can’t wait to see you all again soon!

30 July - 1 August 2024, Pulau Tioman, Pahang- 88 students and 5 lecturers (Ms. Nini, Mr. Luqman, Mr. Hanif, Mr. Zazrul, and Ms. Amirah) from the Department of Social Science and Hospitality set off on an exciting educational adventure to Tioman Island, Pahang, enjoying a memorable stay at the Bayu Tioman Beach Resort throughout their trip.

The main objective was to provide students with a unique opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge in a real-world setting. The focus was on exploring the island’s tourism and hospitality industries, with an emphasis on sustainable practices, local culture, and environmental conservation.

During the trip, students engaged in field studies, interacted with local businesses, and participated in activities designed to enhance their understanding of the region’s socio-economic dynamics and hospitality

30 July 2024, TAR UMT Perak - The Faculty of Communications and Creative Industry at TAR UMT Perak Branch organized the Enhancing Corporate Communication Programme: Insights and Strategies from Industry Experts. Menteri Besar Incorporated (Perak), through MB.Inc Strategic Corporate Communications Perak, was invited as an industry representative for the program.

The purpose of this program was to expose students to the management style of corporate communication in the real industry.

Also present were the Branch Head Dr. Joanne Yim Sau Ching, Programme Leader Puan Zaharatul Mardhiah Azizul, and the MB Inc Strategic Corporate Communications Officer from Perak.

The program centered around the work, skills, and experiences shared by the representative from MB.Inc Strategic Corporate Communications Perak. It also provided students with opportunities through Q&A sessions to help them formulate self-development plans.

MB Inc. Perak welcomes such partnerships and hopes they will add value to students' knowledge and assist them in applying theory and practice in the field of corporate communication.
