17 April 2023, Kampar - Y2S3 Bachelor of Hospitality and Catering Management organised a charity event that is filled with love and warmth. Sharing Kasih Sayang, aimed to share love and care to the residents in I Care Centre to reduce their boredom and loneliness. With the warm chit-chatting section, engaging games and exciting performances, the students succeeded in making the residents happy. They left the centre with great pride and deep contentment - a happy farewell. The students are looking forward to organising similar communal events with the same passion and love in the future.

27 April 2023, TAR UMT Perak - Meteor Garden, as the name suggests is a charity event organised by tudents of Bachelor of Tourism Management (Honours) Event Management to raise funds for Pusat Jagaan Sutera, Kampar and TAR UMT student loan fund. Students took 3 days in between classes to transform the tutorial block into an al-fresco garden dining area with rustic décor and beautiful photo booths. Their event planning skills clearly shone through with the immaculate co-ordination, attention to smallest details, wonderful guest experience and resourcefulness in sponsorship-networking.  Truly a meaningful night indeed and we certainly look forward to spreading more love and happiness with such events in the future. 

29 April 2023, Hat Yai - A group of Perak Branch lecturers and students went on an educational visit to Prince of Songkhla University (PSU), Hat Yai, Thailand. The visit group was greeted warmly by Assistant Professor Dr. Pornpawee Phumkerd, Dr. Chanakit Thanasuk, the Deputy Director, and staff of the institute. In conjunction with this visit, PSU organized many interesting programmes for the delegates. Among them are Thai cultural learning activities such as Workshop Activities, Thai Dance, making Thai Desserts (Bualoy) and visits to the institute's learning resources such as the Southern Textile Museum and PSU Art Gallery. The group also took the opportunity to tour the surrounding attractions in Hatyai. 

29 April 2023, TAR UMT Perak - The ICS Perak Campus successfully held its first-ever Holi Fiesta on April 29, 2023. There were 110 participants from TAR UMT, UTAR, and other towns. The gathering aimed to encourage TAR UMT undergraduates' cultural integration and camaraderie. The Holi Festival is also known as the Festival of Colours and the Festival of Love. It is a time of thanksgiving to nature for a bountiful harvest.

The attendees were welcomed with light refreshments and delicious traditional Indian foods. Holi powder packets and plain white t-shirts were distributed to each person. Participants gathered in the outdoor area at 9.30 am for the official launch by Ms. Rachel Anbumalar Sebastiyan, the ICS(Perak Campus) Advisor, and the primary sponsors, who applied a bounty of colours on each other

While appealing Tamil songs were played loudly enough at the football pitch, everyone danced to the tunes, celebrating while smearing and spraying colour on each other. The YouTuber duo of Hariraja and Vihaan have taken some beautiful and memorable photographs that can be found on the ICS TARUMT Perak Instagram feed.

The most crucial thing to take away from this vibrant event is that although we are all made up of different colours, we share a hue in common. It is the colour of our unity and oneness. We anticipate that the event will be celebrated once more the following year.
