An Enriching Culinary Journey : UK Students at TAR UMT Perak
24 June 2025, TAR UMT Perak - An Enriching Culinary Journey
We welcomed 31 university students from the United Kingdom for an unforgettable Culinary Workshop on Malaysian Cuisine. Led by Chef Mohamad Luqman and Chef Muhammad Hanif and supported by our Diploma in Culinary Arts and Bachelor of Gastropreneurship (Honours) (RGP) students, the session was a feast for both skill and senses.
Participants rolled up their sleeves to create two Malaysian favourites which are Satay with Peanut Sauce and Roti Jala with Curry Chicken. Laughter, sizzling pans and the aroma of spices filled the kitchen as students cooked side-by-side, guided by our talented culinary team.
The day was more than just cooking, it was a vibrant exchange of cultures. Local and UK students swapped culinary tips, discovered each other’s food traditions and forged lasting friendships over a shared meal. This was not just a workshop, it was a celebration of flavours, culture and connection.
