4 January 2025, TAR UMT Perak - Culinary Excellence in Action: Students Master the Art of Pizza

12 Year 2 Diploma in Culinary Arts students turned up the heat in the kitchen as they prepared 40 mouth-watering Italian Pepperoni Pizzas, each sold for just RM12.00! This hands-on experience was part of their Restaurant Business Operation course, providing them with an inside look at the dynamic world of professional kitchens.

Guided by Chef Muhammad Hanif Bin Zubir, the students crafted the pizzas from scratch—perfecting the dough, layering fresh ingredients, and cooking up a storm. The event wasn't just about making pizza; it was a crash course in teamwork, time management, and delivering top-notch customer service.

Each pizza they served was more than just a meal—it was a lesson in real-world culinary skills. From the first slice to the final customer served, the event showcased the students’ growth and excitement as they prepared for future careers in the culinary world.

13 January 2025, Malim Nawar - Teknik Penulisan Resume dan Etika Temu Duga

Our fourth visit to SMK Malim Nawar was truly an enjoyable one! During the session, Form 4 students learned essential skills for crafting an effective resume and mastering interview etiquette. The students were full of energy and had countless questions, especially about the dress code, choice of colours, and clothes patterns for interviews. We had engaging discussions and hands-on practice, helping them feel more confident as they prepare for their future careers. It was a rewarding experience to see their enthusiasm and growth in these crucial areas. Looking forward to more sessions with these bright young minds!

14 January 2025, Kampar - Unlock Your Potential with PNF Stretching and Core Strength Exercises

Our Sport Executive shared valuable insights on proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) stretching with students from SMK ACS Kampar. This innovative stretching technique helps unlock deeper stretches and enhances flexibility, resulting in faster recovery and improved range of motion.

PNF stretching relies on reflexes to produce deeper stretches, making it an effective method for improving mobility and aiding in injury recovery. Combined with core strength exercises, the program aimed to help students improve overall fitness, enhance muscle coordination, and maintain better posture.

The students were introduced to various PNF techniques, learning how to use their muscles and nerves in harmony to achieve optimal flexibility gains. By incorporating this dynamic stretching method, students can expect to experience increased flexibility, reduced muscle stiffness, and better athletic performance.

This exercise program not only emphasized the importance of flexibility but also showcased how combining effective techniques can contribute to overall well-being. Through this collaboration, students at SMK ACS Kampar gained practical tools for enhancing their physical fitness and achieving long-term mobility benefits.

15 January 2025, Kampar – Financial Planning Workshop at ACS Kampar.

The Financial Planning Workshop at ACS Kampar brought together approximately 50 eager students, guided by two dedicated lecturers from the Department of Accounting and Business. This initiative aimed to introduce students to fundamental accounting concepts and highlight the importance of financial literacy in their academic and personal lives.

The workshop began with a briefing about TAR UMT history and background which was conducted by three representatives from management teams, followed by an informative session on the basics of accounting and its significance. Students gained valuable insights into the role of accounting in financial decision-making and career opportunities in the field

On January 15, 2024, a Dining Etiquette Workshop was held for the Form Four students of Sekolah Menengah Methodist (ACS) Kampar. The event began with an introduction to TAR UMT, Perak Branch, presented by Ms. Low Bee Leng. This was followed by the dining etiquette session conducted by Ms. Julie Yap. Approximately 20 students attended the workshop.
