7 May 2024, TAR UMT Perak - The Faculty of Communication and Creative Industries (FCCI), Perak Branch, hosted an engaging promotional briefing for all final-year students of the Diploma in Communication and Media Studies (DCD). This event provided crucial insights into the pathway to the Bachelor of Communication Studies (Honours) programme at the Perak Campus. The session was a hit among attendees, including DCD final-year students, key officers, and FCCI lecturers from the Perak Branch. Led by Pn. Zaharatul Mardhiah Binti Azizul, Programme Leader for the Perak communication programme, the informative briefing sparked excitement and clarified the next steps for students.

9 May 2024, Pantai Remis, Perak - A dedicated team of 41 individuals, including 6 staff members and 35 students, embarked on an inspiring mangrove planting mission at Tanjung Burung, Pantai Remis. Supported by the Perak Forestry Department, this initiative aimed to contribute to the ambitious national goal of planting 100 million trees by 2050. Together, the team successfully planted 500 mangrove seedlings, playing a crucial role in bolstering the vital mangrove ecosystem. The event was not only a triumph in environmental conservation but also a fun and rewarding experience for all participants, who relished the opportunity to make a positive impact. 

9 May 2024, Sg Siput (U), Perak - Big thanks to SMK Methodist ACS Sungai Siput U, 31100 Sungai Siput, Perak, for inviting us to join in on the Resume Writing Skills & Interview Etiquette workshop! It was such a pleasure connecting with your students and adding value to their educational adventure. We trust the interactive session left a positive impact. Looking forward to crossing paths again soon!

9 May 2024, Sg Siput (U), Perak - Embarking on a thrilling learning journey, students immersed themselves in the Career Talk with PARKROYAL Langkawi Resort, guided by the dynamic Ms. Sharifah, Learning and Development Manager! Drawing inspiration from our esteemed alumna, Ms. Chan Ning Xuan, People & Culture Assistant Manager, they delved into the exciting world of the hospitality industry, uncovering a myriad of opportunities. The energy soared as students eagerly engaged in the quiz, vying for prizes and igniting their passion for learning.

On May 10, 2024, nine students from Sainte Marie Lyon, France, currently on a semester exchange program at TAR UMT Main Campus, embarked on a enriching visit to the Perak Branch.

The day was filled with cultural immersion and culinary adventures. The French students participated in a Malaysian cuisine workshop, where they learned the art of preparing classic dishes like Nasi Kerabu Itik Rendang (blue rice with duck rendang) and Kuih Ketayap (coconut pancakes) under the guidance of Mr. Hanif and students from the Bachelor of Gastropeunership program (RGP Students).

Beyond the kitchen, they had the opportunity to interact with the Student Representative Council (SRC), fostering connections and exchanging experiences with their Malaysian peers. To cap off the day, they ventured to the scenic Hoga Gaharu Tea Valley for a "Trek and Snap" event, undoubtedly capturing stunning photos and memories amidst the lush greenery.

This visit to TAR UMT Perak provided the students with a unique opportunity to experience Malaysian culture, savor its flavourful cuisine, and forge connections with the local student community.

10 May 2024, TAR UMT Perak - Approximately 60 students attended the promotional briefing at H101. The session focused on the detailed benefits and advantages of continuing studies in Perak for the RBU and RAF programs. The briefing was exclusively for Diploma Y2S3 students. Ms. Yeoh led the discussion on RBU, while Ms. Marina covered RAF. The event was well-received, with students showing keen interest in advancing their studies at Perak.

11 May 2024, Gopeng, Perak - TAR UMT Perak Branch and HOGA Gaharu Tea Valley teamed up to host an exhilarating fun run event. With 80 enthusiastic participants from the local community and TAR UMT students, the event was a vibrant gathering of fitness and fun. Organised by students from the Bachelor of Tourism Management (Honours) Event Management and Bachelor of Hospitality and Catering Management (Honours) programs, the event embraced the theme "Snap & Trek." Under the guidance of advisor Mr. Zazrul Afiq bin Zazlan, the day was a resounding success. Adding to the triumph, RM500 was raised and donated to the TAR UMT Student Loan Fund, making the event both enjoyable and impactful.

From exploring our vibrant campus to diving headfirst into our dynamic Business workshop, it was an absolute delight to show you the university life. You all truly rocked! 21 May 2024, Bidor, Perak - SMK Choong Hua, Bidor, extended a warm invitation for us to join them in a Time Management workshop led by our counselor, Mr. Hong Kok Pan, for 41 Form 4 students. It was an enriching opportunity to connect with the students and play a part in shaping their educational journey.

27 May 2024, Taiping,  Perak - The TAR UMT Perak Branch successfully organized a half-day program titled "Program Kem Kepimpinan Badan Penguatkuasa Peringkat Daerah Larut Matang Dan Selama". Held at Spritzer Ecopark, the programme saw the participation of 127 students from SMK CONVENT TAIPING and another local school.

The main objective of the programme was to equip participants with fundamental cooperation skills necessary for effective collaboration. This essential skill set is crucial for future success, and TAR UMT Perak Branch is committed to nurturing it in young individuals.
