2 August 2024, Ipoh, Perak - Poi Lam High School welcomed us to their Business workshop, led by Mr. Albert Ng Kin Yew (DACB Associate Dean) and Ms. Jeannie Yeoh (DACB Programme Leader), for 62 enthusiastic SM1 students. We were thrilled to connect with the students and make a meaningful contribution to their educational journey. It was a fantastic opportunity to inspire and engage with the next generation of business leaders!

5 August 2024, Ipoh, Perak - SMK Buntong invited us to join their Culinary workshop, led by our DSSH lecturer and chef, Mr. Hanif, for 36 enthusiastic Form 5 SRT students. We were delighted to connect with the students and contribute to their educational journey. It was a fantastic opportunity to share our passion for culinary arts and inspire the next generation of chefs!

6 August 2024, Sitiawan, Perak -  SMJK Nan Hwa invited us to conduct the Brain Boosters Workshop, featuring our DLAN CourseLeader, Puan Siti Zulaikha Binti Ismail, for 340 eager Form 5 students. We were excited to dive into this opportunity to engage with the students and make a meaningful impact on their educational journey. It was an inspiring experience to help unlock their potential and boost their learning!

10 August 2024, TAR UMT Penang - Great effort by the TAR UMT Perak Branch volleyball team at the TAR UMT Open Volleyball Competition! Although we didn’t advance past the group stage, our new team showed incredible spirit and potential. A huge shoutout to the TAR UMT Penang Branch for organizing such an incredible event and to all 13 participating teams for the thrilling competition.  Here’s to learning and growing together for future tournaments!

16 August 2024, Selangor -   A field trip transformed into an in-depth exploration of event management for 43 dedicated students enrolled in the Diploma in Tourism and Event Management programs. Accompanied by two lecturers, the students had the opportunity to examine the Setia City Convention Centre, gaining insights into the essential elements that contribute to successful event execution.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Ms. Rachel Huan, Assistant Manager of the Marketing and Communication Department, for her enlightening presentation and interactive session, which vividly illustrated key concepts in the field. The students left feeling inspired, having acquired practical knowledge that goes beyond traditional education and textbooks.

This hands-on approach to experiential learning is vital for cultivating the next generation of industry professionals.

The TAR UMT Perak Branch, in collaboration with the First Aid Unit Society, successfully organized a blood donation campaign. A total of 91 donors, including both students and staff, generously participated to support the blood bank at Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun, Ipoh.

The event not only made a meaningful contribution to this critical cause but also fostered a culture of compassion and social responsibility within the campus community.

The Year 2 Semester 1 students from the Bachelor of Business (Honours) Accounting and Finance (RAF) and Bachelor of Business (Honours) Business Administration (RBU) programs organized impactful community service projects as part of their Service-Learning coursework, contributing 30% to their overall marks. 5 - 20 August 2024, TAR UMT Perak -   Making Waves at TAR UMT Perak Branch!

The Swimming Club Society successfully hosted a fantastic swimming programme at the Club House Swimming Pool. Students from TAR UMT Perak Branch, UTAR, and local secondary schools came together to learn essential swimming techniques, build water confidence, and forge new friendships.

This engaging activity not only enhanced participants' swimming skills but also fostered a stronger sense of community on campus.

The Faculty of Accountancy, Finance, and Business hosted an insightful talk titled "From Vision to Reality: The Rising Solar Industry in Malaysia." This engaging session attracted Bachelor of Business Administration and Diploma students, aiming to provide them with a comprehensive understanding of the burgeoning solar sector.

The talk highlighted current industry trends, emerging job opportunities, and the significance of internships within this field. Additionally, it offered valuable insights into human resource practices in the solar industry, equipping students with the knowledge they need to navigate and excel in this dynamic sector.

The event successfully bridged academic learning with practical industry knowledge, inspiring students to consider careers in this rapidly growing field.

22 August 2024, TAR UMT Perak -   TAR UMT has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Penang and DoubleTree by Hilton Damai Laut Resort. This significant partnership marks a new chapter of collaboration, opening up incredible opportunities for our students and the community.

Through this alliance, students will gain valuable insights and experiences that will enhance their education and career prospects in the hospitality industry. We look forward to a fruitful partnership that benefits both our students and the wider community.

24 August 2024, TAR UMT Perak -   We had an incredible time sharing our campus experience and environment while teaching the Micro Credential Programme (MCP) in Western Cuisine to a fantastic group of students. It was a pleasure to engage with them and support their educational journey.

We hope the interactive session proved beneficial and enriching for everyone involved. We look forward to seeing all of you in the near future!

We made an impressive showing at the Mixed Volleyball Competition organized by UTAR Kampar Branch. After fierce matches held at the Grand Kampar Sports Complex, our team proudly secured 4th place, reaching the semi-finals!

A big shoutout to all the players for their hard work and dedication. Your commitment and teamwork were truly commendable! We’ll come back stronger next time!

27 August 2024, TAR UMT Perak -   A Big Thank You to SMJK Nan Hwa, Sitiawan!

We just wanted to say a huge thank you to SMJK Nan Hwa, Sitiawan - Laman Rasmi for having us at the Brain Boosters Workshop with your Form 4 students again! It’s hard to believe it’s been three weeks since our first visit on 7 August.

It was another fantastic opportunity to connect with everyone and contribute to their learning experience. We hope the interactive session was helpful and fun for the students. Can’t wait to see you all again soon!

The Division of Student Affairs hosted an exciting Pickleball Introduction Session that brought together 50 energetic participants, including both staff and students. The Main Hall buzzed with excitement as everyone picked up paddles, learned the game, and enjoyed some friendly competition.

It was a fantastic way to stay active, have fun, and connect with our vibrant campus community!
