Cisco competition 2025

14 December 2025, TAR UMT Perak - Cisco APJC NetAcad Riders 2025

Mak Chun Wah and Chan Wei Louh, students from TAR UMT Perak Branch pursuing the Bachelor of Information Technology (Honours) in Software Systems Development, participated in the Cisco APJC NetAcad Riders Competition 2025, an international online competition held on 9 April 2025.

Mak Chun Wah earned a Silver Certification, while Chan Wei Louh achieved a Bronze Certification, both awarded by Cisco.

Mak Chun Wah emerged as the top-performing TAR UMT student in the competition and was later honoured with the Outstanding NTT Data & Cisco Award 2025 by the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology. He also received a RM1,000 cash prize during the convocation ceremony held on 14 December 2025 at TAR UMT Perak Branch.
